Conquest 42 Fanuc OT Z-axis not moving.

after crashing the z axis i receive a 520 overtravel +z alarm after power up. I tried powering up multiple times with cancel and P pressed. I am able to home the tailstock and y but sitll cannot get Z to move. I tried pressing overtravel release and moving it with no luck. I need some advice on troubleshooting this condition asap. Thanks.

Try holding the the overtavel release while moving the axis with the handwheel in x 10 increments.

    Cool Fixed

Thanks for the quick response. Turns out this does not work either. I have since discovered that our machine has a Z Axis Torque Limiter that became disengaged due to the crash. Once we realized the on screen position was changing but the carriage was not moving, we realized it was mechanical and were able to correct it. I was able to attain realignment and re-engage the coupler. It is now working correctly.
    Again Thanks!

if you there are yellow cap motors on your machine, that's may be overload relay (thermal) tripped
if red cap the drive has to show alarm by LED onboard
