    CHIP THICKNESS

    Is there a general rule for chip thickness (feed per tooth) when trochoidal milling. The only information I found was to increase it 3.5 times over conventional milling.

    Usually the cutter/insert manufacturers have that info in their online catalog tech sections. I know Sandvik and Ingersol do a good job of it.
