Bridgeport Conversion And Liquid Tight Bulk Head Fittings

If you have put the new encoders with new cables on your Bridgeport, how did you bring the new cables in to the control box? The original bulk head fittings on mine were liquid tight. The ajax replacement cables have the end connectors already on them so I cant slip them thru a bulkhead fitting.

Hmmm....may want to pass that one by AJAX tech support to see what they do. I soldered my DB9 connectors on my cables after I slide on a watertite fittings.

Centroid factory cabinets use a large entry slot in the bottom of the cabinet, with a clamping plate and neoprene gasket.

You can fabricate something similar; or purchase pre-made solutions from Murr Plastik or others. See Cable Entry and Holding Systems

If you are skilled with electronic connectors, you could also just cut and re-terminate your DE9 plugs.

Liquid-tight. Heat-resistant. Chemical-resistant. Secures vertical runs. Remke's complete line of cable strain relief connectors are in stock.
