    Machining "Speed Control" potentiometer?

    Hi all,

I have been doing some teaching at a school that has a large CMS 5-axis mill. Their controller has a dial-wheel that you can turn down - like a volume knob - to make the active toolpath go slooooow to be sure nothing is awry. Once you're confident it's all good you just crank it back up to "11"

Is there any way to incorporate this into a Mach3/SmoothStepper/Gecko setup?

    dh

What you are referring to is generally know as 'Feed Rate Override' search here and the Mach forum to get more info for implementing in Mach.
