I have a G540 that I am trying to run in Mach3.
I wired the X axis and installed required resistor and was able to jog everything fine. After wiring and plugging in the the second motor I started getting a Limit Switch Fault, no motor response and my mouse now freezes up when the motor is plugged in. At this point none of the 3 motors on my mill will work, though when I wired a 4th (loose) stepper of a different size with no resistor it would jog.
-The Coolant Pump is switched off.
-The Bios Parrallel Port has been set to EPP
-There are no limit switches plugged in
-I tested the motor wiring by confirming that the stepper motors will jog when plugged into a $40 TB6560 ebay board
-I've disabled the input pins in the motor configurations
-I'm using a Straight Through DB25 cable
I'm having trouble finding a solution in either the artsoft mach3 support or cnczone forums. I see others have had similar Limit Swith Faults, but the solutions as detailed above haven't worked.
Any suggestions?
