    Slot addressing in Meldas controllers

I am looking to move a set of cards from a FCA320HLX-V. controller (6 slot) cage into a FCA330HLX-V (10 slot). How do the I/O cards addresses get allocated? If a card is placed in a particular slot does that define address range of it's digital i/o or is it inherent to the jumper settings on the card?

well in the absence of any response I tried it anyway! Certainly digital inputs turn up on the PLC interface check screen in the same place using my trusty test lead and switch to +24V !. I assume the digital outputs will also follow suite but I don't know how to directly set an output bit to test them.

If anyone can tell me how to directly set an output bit I would be grateful. I understand using the force output facility only writes to memory and the plc actually sets the outputs but can you tell me differently????????

Hi Andrew I have a Beaver partsmaster with Heidenhain 355 and I use Featurecam. Could you possibly email me the post processor you have it would be a big help!

In case anyone else stumbles across this thread looking for the same information in future, I attach a copy of the address mapping for the FCA320HLX-V & FCA330HLX-V controllers
