As we all know,water jet cutting machine is powerful and suit for cutting many hard materials include marble,stone,granite,glass,stainless steel,aluminum and so on.

But now we have a question,can it do engraving works?How do you think?

In theory it is no problem,because the UHP pump power is adjustable,if we set the high-presure pump with low power(for example 10%) and high speed (for example 10m/min),the water jet can not cut through the metal ,stone plate,just cut 2mm depth.So,we do engraving successfully.Please note,this is in theory.

In actual.it is just possible but difficult.Firstly,the moving speed of water jet head is not with constant speed,it need to move-stop-move-stop,because the worktable size is limit,can not always move.Secondly,the material is not homogeneous medium absolutely,somewhere harder and somewhere soft.Thirdly,most of UHP water jet pump can not achieve constant power.Fourth,some other reasons......For all above,the water jet cutting machine can not engrave uniformly..
