Dear Fanuc bossess. I am very new in fanuc world. Though i have experienced on sinumerik.
So, as a new I wanna know some information about fanuc, as recently we got a fanuc 18MC contoller CNC.
1. I need a link or file of a tutorial for reloading and backup data in CNC from pc. Which softeware should be used for this. For sinumerik I used sinucom PCIN.
2. For sinumerik I used Simatic Manager for checking plc and duagonistic. What would be the equivalent software for fanuc, and from where i can buy it if any online link for buying.
3. What is the main website for finding manuals of fanuc.

Free s/w DNC – wireless and wired, Free DNC for 1 machine (in neighboring Bangalore).
You need to save your 9000 option parameters and any macro's that may be in the machine.
I have the Fanuc RS232 manual, it is for the 0 and 10/11/12 but the protocol applies to the 18.
If you PM and email add I can send a copy.

I would highly recommend using the BOOT backup method; you will need a pcmcia sram card for that.

thanks reply. I got many info from this thread. I need one question now. For reading and diagnosis PLC from CNC machine which software is used. For siemens we used Simatic Manager. And from where I can buy the software.
