    Mazak ST40N Gear selection

    Hi,
    We have a ST40N with a three speed gearbox.
    However whatever we program, big dia, small dia the machine always seems to select high gear.
    We can change gear in manual mode fine and change gear in mazatrol with an M code
    however as soon as it starts a machining unit high gear gets selected?
    Anyone help

    I realise this is extremely late reply but anyway for anyone else
    The gear range is selected in the TPC data.
    You can set for roughing and finishing
