Having problem with Bridgeport Interact 2 Series 2 with Heidenhain TNC 145.

After power-up and when traversing through either X or Y the machine stops and the TNC displays "Gross Positioning Error B"

Can anyone provide some pointers as to possible cause?

when did it last run, did you just buy it does it home correctly

Thanks for your response.

We have had the machine for a good number of years and it was working up until 3rd May this year when it came up with the problem.
The previous day it had been in a programme and worked fine and then the next day it would not home correctly.

If it happens at the end of the homing for the axis, I am going to imagine that the tach is not working or not connected. The control does not look for anything until the trip dog switches, then it tries to close the position loop
