So you're replacing the steppers with servos? Any other modifications?

It was always servos, but these are new ones, I burnt up my Y axis (long story). I am putting the belt drives on all 3 axis to shrink it's footprint. New optical home switches (which can be seen in the pictures).
Lots of other small mods
Tonights Mod. Gas strut to balance head. 15lb force.

Nice work so far, but the pic of the saddle made me have to ask a question of you.
How is this an "old" Taig with the newer "Y" saddle? Or did you mean to say "ole" Taig in the title?
Great job and thanks for sharing-
Dave

I purchased the new saddle because it is so much better than the old one. Many new parts going on this. All new screws and nuts as well.
Started on the oiler system. Replacing the oil cups.
