    VF-2 Z Axis Waycover Replacement

Bought a new one for the machine and see that the configuration is totally different than the original. Anyone have installation instructions for the new style covers?

I just put on a new style z axis cover on one of my old 90' models last year, they don't come with instructions.

Pull all the screws out of the rails holding on the old one. Clean and reinstall the new one. The trick is to re configure the long rail spacers so they allow the cover to collapse and not bind when the head is down in Z.

I have 5 long spacers then the Z axis cover then the outside rail with the c'sunk holes all sandwiched together, in that order.

    Good luck,

I'm back in business... keeping the old long spacers from the previous cover was the trick. Without the spacers, the new accordion style cover binds up. Thanks!
