gecko G540 main block pin out questions

What does VFD stand for? what can you do with the VFD ground, output and +10vdc Are the VFD states constant or controlable. And what can i do with the output 1 and 2 lugs.
Either I am over looking these items or not looking in the right spot. BTW this board is so awesome compared to the one I had.

Variable frequency drive. Typically to change ac current to dc to drive motors and control the speed.

You connect all three to a VFD to control the rpm of a spindle motor.

And what can i do with the output 1 and 2 lugs.
You can connect them to relays to turn devices on and off.

The manual explains both of these.

Also you can search on 'g540 gecko wiring' with an image search and turn up some helpful diagrams.

Excellent!!! Thanks! It never occurred to me to look up wiring. I was doing a word search and the threads were still confusing to me. Didn't see anything in the manual but I might have skipped over it since it is on spindle control. I'll look again. I have been needing a way to turn on my relay that controls the router on/off. The last board did not function right

The wiring for the gecko is different from the last set up I had before it fried . let me see if I have this right. I come off my P/S to my SSR with the (+)VDC. I run a wire from either pin 5 or 6 to the other trigger of the SSR. I go to ports and pins and set (the spindle control, cant remember off the top of my head right now what its called) to output 1 or 2, depending on the wiring. and now I can use M04 and M05 to control the router? Could it be that simple. because the old latest toshiba board was much more complicated and still did not function correctly
