Very simple question re. FMAX on HEIDENHAIN TNC 355

    Hi there,

A real simple quick question to anyone in the know.....

For as long as I've programmed the TNC controls I've always programmed the rapids as max speed feeds (i.e F9999 or F15000) but when using most of the CAM packages the posts output FMAX... Am I being dense? But I've never found away of entering FMAX manually at the keypad?

    Any help much appreciated.

If the control accepts fmax, then just 'enter' in the f spot should do it

Right, tried just keying in ENT but control won't accept that? Very odd as we read progs. in all day with feed as FMAX, I can't belive there's no way to key it in?

    hi

I think you may find that the 355 control wont input FMAX at the control due to its age , Yes it will accept Fmax from a program done off line as most TNC controls will , I believe the 1st tnc controls to accept FMAX at the control would be the 1st of the 400 series controls
