I don't know if this is the right kind of forum, I'm not sure if CNC is what I want or how it differs from a laser engraver and cutting machine like an HPC. I make wooden toys and would like to be able to personalize them with a child's name. I'm looking at the HPC desktop for £1125 and I need to know things like, will it work on the wood I use, does it need to be done in a really ventilated place, how noisy is it, etc!

Hi，
LASER machine can engave name or vetor or bitmap on wood with good precision .It also can do cutting works but with burnt black surface .
You may locate it in a workshop --it is better if you got a ventilated area ,or connect to a window .
It has a little noise ,but not much ,in deed .
