Have a Mattsurra 1800h mill with a Fanuc 11M.
Came in the morning and noticed certain buttons did not work on keyboard. (7,8,9, cancel, cursor, page, B, +,....)
On this machine there are two 3 segment leds that display tool in spindle and tool in changer. These displays now alternate flash between
all zeros and the correct tool number. Those displays are machine specific.
Home position lights will not come on either but machine shows its home in position page.
Machine will run a program and tool change just fine. Just cant enter or maneuver via certain keys on keypad.
So, seeing how the ribbon cable and wires for display all went to the I/O board in the display panel, I replaced it for $3400 to realize that wasn't the issue. This was after talking to Mattsuura dealer and Fanuc rep.
So, I took the keypad out and checked all the keys for function with a meter and it checks good.

Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions?

if the panel and I/O board are good go further into the bowels of the machine and see what is next in the connection. could be a broken wire somewhere or a chip or something similar on another board. could even be low voltage or missing voltage somewhere in the wiring or on a board causing the problem.

Does the control use the A20B-1000-0850 crt/mdi controller?

Iknow it is an old thread but i am sure it is the keys them self. I have this problem on my matsuura 11M. The key "D" for ex seems to effekt other keys and if i make D work the other linked keys begins to funktion again. So a change of the the key modul is the solution i say.

one 'stuck' key will affect other keys. A bad keyboard is likely the problem.
