I know that it can on a Doosan. What kind of machine do YOU have?
spindle and tool rotate the same time???never possible ,should be interlocked on the ladder
say to me one operation you want to do when u turn spindle and come with a mill tool or a drill tool on the piece.
what operation u can do while spindle rotate???????
i think only if you want to grind something with a small stone !!!!!?????
turn the grinding tool with the tool roatting and spin spindle the oposite direction
Usually an option. We have it on our Mazak, and I know mori also sells it as an option. Not too many uses for it, but it's nice for composites.
It's limited because its for very special operations like making flats on the outside diameter like hex etc.. and if you're making tons of them like on pipe fittings industry. You wouldn't believe how fast those flats can be done using simutaneous mill turning compared to conventional c axis miling.
One example:
I want to run a small drill into the end of the part (on center) at 6000 RPM.
The main spindle max RPM is 2,500, live tool spindle max RPM is 4,000. If I run the main spindle at 2,000 and the live tool at 4,000 RPM, voila! I can run the drill at the correct RPM.
Just because you've never done it doesn't mean it's "never possible".
Or you need to turn a lathe in to a rotating router for composites.
