Retrofit of Gerber d200 to use Gecko g540 controller.

    Gentlemen,

I am retrofitting a Gerber D200 with a new useable controller to support Mach3. I want to use the G540 stepper controller. I need to know if i need to swap out the stepper motors. I can't find enough documentation on the current steppers to know if they will work with the G540.

The current motors are SLO-SYN model M062-LS-530E. They seem to no longer be in production. They are in almost new condition. It would be a shame to scrap them.

Can anyone confirm if they are compatible with the G540 or not?

    Thanks

    Kevin

Looks to be a 60mm(NEMA 23) and seem like the Gecko 540 might be able to drive it depending on the exact spec of that particular M060. (540: max 3.5 A => specs: http://www.geckodrive.com/support/mo...540-rev-8.html )

SloSyn spec sheet linked below is the start of understanding and a call to tech support of the manufacturer or a dealer should sort out the details.
Specs for MO60 SloSyn Steppers: Standard 60mm Frame Size (NEMA Size 23)
MC SUPPLY CO: Bodine Electric Co, KB Electronics, Brake Motor, Stepper, Gearmotor, Gearboxes, Clutch/Brake
