    R & R Of Sheetmetal What to Seal With!!

    Just got my sheetmetal back frm Powder Coat.. OOH does it look good.. Can any body tell me the best sealent to use between the machine casting and the new Sheetmetal.. Complete names if you have them, and best place to get them..

    From the factory, they use [something that sounds like] Silk-o-flex (?). The service tech that came to re-caulk my sheetmetal got it at Home Depot. I know that he picked it up on the way.

    Did you have some new/custom sheetmetal made for your machine? If so, can you recommend a supplier?

    Loctite and Permatex both make a "Blue RTV" sealant that is superb.
    The blue will even stick to oily surfaces.
