Question Using FSL electronics/driver on another machine

Hi, I was just thinking if this would be possible and if somebody already did it.

I know there is a lot of people that got a Hobby FSL laser cutter and then moved to a bigger one, not the PRO FSL they sell but the same model offered directly from the manufacturer instead.

I was wondering then: would be possible to replace the original controller on the big machine, for the RetinaEngrave card from the small one?
I still don't have a big machine, but I'm thinking about getting one and I found that option a plus, so I can keep using the FSL software... which seems a practical use for their hardware instead of just boxing it in the garage.

Maybe some of you guys have some ideas about if that is possible, and if it would be better than using the original hardware/software, or just a waste of time and potential damage to the machine.

    Cheers

    hi there
sure you can buy eventually a bigger machine just the mechanical and take over the electronic from your small one, but you need to adjust your controller to the new work area size and watch for the right connections. if you wana use a higher watt tube you need the matching laser power supply.
    greetings
