    Kflop + kAnalog+ Hurco KBM

Can anyone tell me how to hook up Hurco to the Kflop

    Hurco KBM-1

seem to have dc servo drive

hence the kanalog won't be needed. (i believe)

Most commercial machines that have used DC brushed motors have analogue (+-10vdc) drives.

    Thanks Al,

I'll have a look to see if I can find something, I do recall seeing a +-5V somewhere.

Do you know where I could find a picture of a fully install Kflop and Kanalog with the wiring ?

    Hi k-linkz,

You will need to determine what type of components are in your system and how it is wired. Do you have wiring diagrams?

As Al points out the most common approach is to have +/-10V analog signals going to the Motor Amplifiers that the Control uses to control Motor Speed. If you can find those connection I often recommend a simple test to apply a small voltage to see if the motor moves. Use a 1.5V battery through a 1K ohm resistor. The motor should move at 15% of full speed. If you reverse the battery the motor should drive the other direction.

The next issue would be to determine what type of feedback there was. Hopefully there are digital quadrature encoders.

If this is your case then you most likely can interface with our KFLOP+Kanalog boards.

I've attached two wiring diagrams from previous KFLOP+Kanalog Users. There may be some mistakes but it may give you some ideas.

    Regards
