    Optical Limits

    I'm using IH Optical Limits (active high).
    When I set up one axis all is fine.
    When I atempt to do a second or third axis using the supplied diodes (band closest to breakout board) so that an input pin can be shared, I get a constant high voltage even though the switches are at rest.

    Anyone else have this trouble?

    put a 470 to 4700 ohm resistor after the three diodes to ground that should pull it low untill sensor is activated.

    ----------->|-----------
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO|
    ----------->|-----------
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO|
    ----------->|-----------(to input)
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO|
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -------/\/\/\/\/--------(to ground)
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (470ohm to 4.7kohm)

    don't pay attention to the O they are just place holders. what happens is when the diodes are added to the circuit it lets the port float high on those pins when you add the resistor to ground it will hold the port low untill the the limits are activated. i ran into the same problem. start out with the 4.7kohm first.
