Hi,
My J425 Tree gains about + .025 per 12" of cut part in X. The Y loses about -.008 in Y. Scaling is set a 1.0 and the drive belts have been replaced per underthetires recommendation. Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
Thanks!
Erik

Could be a set up problem on the prom, worn out pulleys, or pitch error issue. Not sure how to get to pitch error on those.
You could set scaling to .998 on X and 1.0006 on Y to get by.
Can you tell me what the prom is? Good idea on the scaling, I will try that if needed. I will also check and see what it cuts in a manual mode using the screen as a DRO. I will report back soon. Also, A few years back I swapped the x and y motors looking for a different problem. Once that problem was found, I never switched them back as it ran great.
Thanks
It's a eprom on the dynapath, but if the motor encoders haven't been changed, nor the dynapath, i doubt thats what it is.
The X motor was just rebuilt when I got the machine so maybe they swapped encoders (encoder on the end of shaft or is it the part with the brushes?) Also, the mother board on the Dynapath was replaced a while back as the old one died.
Well, its possible you lost pitch error tables then. Not sure if they are in the Eprom or a stored parameter though. Maybe call parts n smarts and ask them.
P&S says the Delta 40 does not have a Eprom but instead has a FLASH.... They are sending info on getting into the par. and checking some #'s out. Stay tuned.
