Him Everyone! First let me say thank God for this group! I've been lurking here for about awhile and have learned so much that it would have taken me forever to figure everything out by myself. I'm brand new to Hobby CNC, but have been a CNC machinist in the aerospace industry for the past 15 years. 10 years on CNC mills and the last 5 years on CNC wire and sinker EDM machines. I've been wanting to build a router to play around with in my garage for awhile now, and have finally got the finances to do it, so I'm about to take the plunge! I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer. I'm comfortable with building the actual machine, and VERY comfortable with the programming end of everything but what scares the bejesus out of me is the electronic side of things. Geckodrives, transformers, power supplies, wiring everything, etc. Are there any websites that explain how to hook everything up the most efficient way? I'm totally clueless about this. I'm not sure how to do anything from basic hooking the steppers to the Geckodrives, to wiring in a Estop, to wiring in limit switches. I'm the type of person who likes to do ALOT of research before I jump head first into anything and I want to make sure I'm going to be able to do this before I start dropping any money into something I wont be able to finish. Any help would be appreciated, and I look forward to being a active and helpful member of this group in the future! Thanx in advance!!
