RFQ - Steel Blocks Required - Maraging 250 and EN39B

I am in Australia and seek the following steels for prototype testing.
Down in Oz our local suppliers do not import either of these steels (nor are they interested in doing so)

    The steels required are:
    Maraging 250
    EN39B

Material sizes which follow are suitable for our application and are the minimum dimensions per piece required.
I require a total of 6 pieces of any of the following sizes for each type of steel.
Cutting tolerance on all pieces is +/-5.0mm
    All dimensions are metric mm

Any of the following are suitable in Maraging 250 and EN39B

    (1) Plate: Stock 20mm plate x 200mm x 200mm (Thickness can be approx 25.4mm (1") to 19.05mm)
    (2) Round Bar:-
    (a) Dia 63.5mm plus (2.5") x 200mm long
    (b) Dia 210mm x 20mm long
    (c) Dia 250mm x 20mm long

Please advise availability and lead times.

I will arrange airfreight and couriers directly from you to our facility.

    Cheers,

    Alex

I am not sure of your intentions but I do know that several types of specialty steel are export restricted and quite tightly monitored due to their utility in uranium centrifuges and other weapons grade activity.

I'd be surprised if you can find anyone willing to deal in such an endeavor.

Interesting, but no I am working for a business unit of a Chicago based Fortune 200 Company.
Our business unit based in Melbourne Australia.
I use this site a good source of reliable information and contacts.
We simply need a supplier to source the material as our metallurgist recommends these grades for a high strength application and we can't get it in Australia.
If anyone wants confirmation feel free to contact me directly.

    Regards,

    Alex

Maraging 250 in the annealed condition is around the same as 4340, can you make it all out of round stock , it may be hard to get the 200x200 plate but the Maraging 250 is available, & you should have no problem to get it, even online metals sell some of what you want, you may be able to order it all from them direct, the PDF also has a suppliers contact information
