So I need to get some more pull studs to go with all the tool holders I have been buying. The machine is a Tree 325 Journeyman. It takes the same pull studs/retention knobs as a Mazak or Fadal machine (the short fat little buggers with the 45° angle at the end). So where does everyone get theirs from? I am liking the price of the Pull studs from Shars, but the made in china aspect of them leaves me to wonder how reliable they will be. From the sounds of it, fishing a broken pull stud out of a spindle is not a fun task and something to be avoided like the plague. Is there such a thing as a high quality, inexpensive pull stud? Or should I just suck it up and pay $10-20ea for the "nicer" or made in the usa ones?

And I don't blame you. Seen multiple retention knob failures over the years. Takes out the spindle taper every time.
