    Parallel port pci card

Been helping a friend out with his plasmacam machine for a while now, would get frequent low voltage warnings, and it was tricky to get the controller to turn on and initialize without unplugging the parallel cable first.

Installed a pmdx 5 volt dual parallel port card tonight, loaded the driver from the included disk, turned the parallel port off in bios, and now it's all working perfectly. No more low voltage warnings, and the machine controller turns on and initializes properly every time with the cable connected.

Also started to figure out the auto/digital height control, pretty cool stuff!

Sure wish plasmacam had a sort of settings library you could edit and select based on the material your cutting...

    Dylan.

My buddies plasmacam has a library, mine doesn't, I think its because I have the cheap DesignEdge software that comes with a GoTorch.
