Hi, i have recently upgraded my cnc chinesse spindle motor wich was a 200w dc 1000 to 8000 rpm, I was able to work on aluminium 6061 at .25 deep 1000 mm /min, at its maximum RPM. Now I have a Kress 800 FME, wich at first glance is much better for what i need, i tested on the same aluminium profile, the last test i made was 1mm deep at 700 mm/ min, it was an smooth and no to loud cut, i used 17000 rpm (it has min 1000 rpm and max 30000), i use always an 1/8 (3.175mm) 2 flute end mill.

I was reading on the web about the suggested RPM for aluminumn, that it depends about material, tool diameter, feedrates etc. what do you guys suggest for the paramters that I have explained, since i would like to give more feedrates maybe 1000 rpm at 1mm deep with the 1/8 end mill and also a 1/4 one. more RPM? or less?

Note, I always use soluble oil with water as coolant.

thank you!!
