Whilst you are prompted to select the desired chain ( edge ), it displays arrows on the actual chain, these are important.
while chaining,
- green indicates starting chain, red = last chain, ( often the chaining action stops, if a branch is reached and a choice is to be made by you to which branch to follow).
After accepting each chain,
- the placement of the arrow bases indicates the start of the chain
- the larger arrow indicates the direction of cutting action
- the smaller arrow indicates the side the cutter will compensate to ( if you have a +ive XY offset )
your solution
- in the operation parameters, change the "side" the cutter is to cut on, you need "Left", ( which outputs a G41 into the NC code - if "Computer", or "Wear" compensation type is used )
or
- in the operation geometry, highlight the problem chain , R-click in that dialog window, and then select "Change side", or "Reverse chain", whatever you need to get the desired path )
Thanks for the detailed explanation you are a true hero (superman ;-) )
