Hi,

I have a Chevalier 2040MV, 16 position tool changer (caroulsel type), Fanuc O-MD control. Getting a 2030 limit switch alarm which my manual says it is tool changer limit switch error. Both switches are fixed. Alarm happens after G91G28Z0 execution when the only movement is Z going home. Tool changer is still in the tool change position. Next command is T__ and then G91G30Z0. I transposed the two switches to make sure it wasn't the switch.

Any suggestions?

Dave,

Yes, the problem was solved. I had gone through numerous trial and error suggestions and the final fix was: Shutdown the machine, on startup, hold down the "P/Q" button and the "Cancel" button when you activate the control side, this clears all the faults. I had a tech from Spokane come in and fix my problem-15min fix.
