I just built the buildyourcnc.com Blackfoot table machine. My plan was to use my hobbycnc pro driver board and the steppers that I had used on a previous smaller machine....turns out they're not powerful enough for the bigger machine.

I need to run one 640 oz and two 425 ounce steppers. I can't use my hobbycnc board board with steppers larger than what i have now, so as I understand ill need a breakout board and three driver boards.

I'm trying to do my homework but there's a lot to look at and consider. The hobbycnc board made it easy since everything was on one board.

Can I get recommendations as to what to but with regard to the drivers? I think a 3 amp board would be ok for the 425 oz steppers and maybe a 6 amp board for the 640?

I'm a bit overwhelmed and could use any help that anyone might have time to provide.

I would check out GeckoDrive G203 drives and a PMDX breakout boards ...
