Here is a guide on how to use SketchUp Pro with cnc machines.

-Drawing tips
-Drawing checking
-Process steps for SketchUp pro .dxf drawing to machine
-Process steps for SketchUp Pro .iges to Mastercam import.
-Process steps for Illustraitor .dxf to SketchUp (for cleaning) to machine.

Guide Limitations:
-Based on a Thermwood cs43 CNC 3 axis router and what is (now) outdated control nesting software
-Based on only 1.5 years working with production environment producing parts. Only 50 projects so far (material variety only included dado, miters with ball end mill, splines, cutting acrylic, solid surface, mdf, sanded maple, aluminum sheet, foam)
-Based on using SketchUp Pro as the primary means of .dxf entity creation, organization, part assembly visual, and image tracing.

Thanks I hope it is of use, please feel free to correct and add your own experiences with SketchUp. It is one of the easiest drawing programs I have ever encountered.
