    Still in Progress

The wood is Kirei board a "Green" Product out of Japan, it is similar to bamboo in the way it is glued together. It is made out of Sorgum, layered similar to plywood.

I am also using 1/8" maple plywood as a backdrop. The job consist of FSC certified Maple and Kirei Board and Alchemy.

This is a plaque that I am making for a County Solid Waste Management. The center is supposed to represent a roof. It is a design the customer made. Just to be clear for those of you who have helped me on this I am donating this to them. I do have a job with them making custom cabinets and Millwork but I am making several free signs and banners for them from the scrap and leftovers of the "Green" products.

I want to show those of you and everyone the results of your efforts and say thanks again. I will past a picture of the finished product and others when complete.

That sign looks great. Its amazing how useful 'scrap' often is.

If anyone figures out LazyCam please let me know, I bought it 'by accident' ( Don't ask!...funny story... ....ok, not that funny....anyway...) and also find it frustrating. .... ok, to be fair I haven't really put any time into learning it, but Vectric have made me lazy, and I expect to be able to use everything intuitively!

Jamf2, how is it cutted? Router? Looks tight on the corners and sharp. If done by plasma, I have no idea what a plasma is for woodworking. I see that kind of plasma for metal working in water jets or fine flames.

Done by router. No interior sharp corners always a radius. Cuts pretty good. Smells like cut hay. Several of my employees have developed skin rashes from it where ever exposes skin has been from sanding it. They thank me now for making them where a respirator mask when sanding.

It will make a nice back ground for some of these post.

We just used some of that on a wall display. You need to use very sharp tools on that, don't you. What type of bit did you use. I found that with a new straight indexable bit, I was getting a lot of tearout.

    Your welcome.

I here ya, my days are never long enough.

I've got 2 kids, work, school, & about 5 projects going all the time, I wouldn't have it any other way (well maybe I could hit the lotto, then delete that work ).

    My Turn!

I have been a long time reader, first time post-er....I like seeing what everyone can do with a little time and patience. I have lots of files that are converted to DXF'S that I have worked on for the last 5 years that I will be posting here from now on. I hope everyone enjoys and please post finished pictures of projects so I can see everyones imagination at work. And on that note, here is Project #1.
