    Ideas/advice

I currently purchased new cam software a few weeks ago but it doesn't fit my needs so I need to look into something new.

Any one have any good advice? I don't want to test drive multiple software and I want to narrow it down to 2 at most.

    What I am considering is:

    SolidCam
    MasterCam
    HSM Works
    Gibbs
    OneCNC
    NX

I know preference's will very but is there any major advantage to any of the ones listed?

My needs are mid range production quantity's, aerospace, defense, and 3D machining of production complex parts. I don't want to consider $ just ease of use and most importantly efficiency of tool paths created and least restrictive control over tool paths.

Any major advantages would be helpful without going through and demoing them all.

    Thanks,

If you are considering Master Cam then you should also consider Esprit Cam. I have used both of these. In my opinion Esprit can program circles around Mastercam. Pricing is very comparable as well depending on the package you want.

Thanks Tony, Although I am trying to make the list shorter.....lol

A Friend is my local gibbs reseller so I am getting a full blown license of that to try very soon. Have not used gibbs in over 10 years, well not bad was not one of my favorites at that time but am going to give that a test run. Any one have pros vs cons on gibbs compared to any of the others?
