    Won't post code

    I'm using BoBCAD v23.01821760 (Build 1812)

I use it to write my code for cutting simple sheet metal profiles. I have a couple features saved and always use them. Today, I went through the normal steps but when I click for it to "post", I got nothing. I thought before it had something to do with the post processor not being properly selected but I went through that a couple times and can't get anything to work. I also tried "post & save" but only got a blank file if anything.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

I just opened two different bbcd files that posted before and I cut the items. They won't post code now either.

Do you have Red X next to feature ? If so,,R click Feature,,L click post yes/no

In the Cam tree is your Post Processor listed as the one being used ?

On each Feature, has the geometry been selected and compute tool path been done ?

If still having problems, upload a .zip file of the .bbcd file you are having problems with.

Have you checked under "Current Settings" if your NC File Path is correct, see image below.

If it isn`t as above then use the "Select" button to navigate to the correct folder as shown, worth a try

As you didn`t attach your own Post Processor I had to use a Mach3 one of my own, posted the code fine so it appears there is nothing wrong with your drawing/toolpaths etc

Make sure under current settings you have the correct machine selected.
In preditor make sure you have the right Template selected.

I copied a copy of the post processor over from a saved location to confirm the post processor hasn't been corrupted. Still nothing posts. I think I've included the post processor with the files this time.

Thank you for all your help.

Is there any chance that the docket window for the code posting area has collapsed and you just can't see the code? I have had that happen before.

    It works here.
Are you sure you have correct machine selected in current settings ?
Also click on help and make sure your license is good and not in demo.

See if it will simulate,if it does check out what RAF says

The "post" window is there and open.

Our machine has never been listed correctly.

As far as I can tell our license is good. I have the option to "de-authorize" under [HELP]

The files that would post before and now they won't...same computer?

If all of your paths are correct (usually the first thing to check) and PP is good and all that, the only other time I've seen this is if BobCAD (V23) wasn't running as an administrator.

Also, don't take for granted that the file paths are correct. Make sure that you have personally selected your posting path. This probably isn't your problem if Post/Save As doesn't work either.

That's about all I can think of for now.

Yes, same computer / same login.

I've been doing the same process for years and it all of a sudden didn't work.

Thank you everyone who's trying to help....

:drowning: Changing the post processor doesn't geenrate any code either.

I right clicked in the "post" window and clicked edit. The editor opens but says and can not load the file because it is open by another program. This leads me to believe BobCAD is opening the file to write to it but not writing nor closing the file.

Is the pp saved in the proper spot within the bobcad folder?

by "run as administrator", what is meant is to right clcick the BobCad icon and choose properties-compatability tab and check the run as admin check. Depending on the os, you might also disable visual themes and desktop composition in the same area.

And of course, Have you "restarted the computer"?
