Hi All,
I am in the midst of quoting a group of parts made from C11000 copper flat bar and some round bar.
I've not worked a lot with this material, and would like some advice concerning what to expect, how to run it, etc.
The work involves mostly drilling holes less than .750" through 3/8" flat bar; with some being blind.
This would be done on a VMC with basic water soluble coolant.
One part will be made from round bar ; and may need turned to some degree.
Then, a group of holes will be drilled into one end.
I know the material will be stringy, but how about galling onto tools, and getting a smooth finish ?????
Any help will be greatly appreciated !!
