    It's ordered!

Well I sent the money for my new Torus Pro yesterday. Going to go and pick it up at Novakon when it is ready. Going to be real fun getting it into my basement (not really)..

Wish I had the thing now as for some reason I am more busy than I have ever been (I make motorcycle parts). Yeah you would think the springtime would be busier, but I have so much stuff going to Australia,,,

Can't wait to be able to switch tools by pressing a button. Now all I have to do is design my jig system and redo all my toolpaths.

You're going to love it. Mine has been absolutely wonderful - fast, accurate, reliable.

And, soon I'll have a Pulsar to play with as well!

I have double doors going into the basement but it is going to be an adventure! That is half the reason I am picking it up. I can drive a truck down to the back, but I am pretty sure fedex (or whatever) wouldn't do that for me...

I know you will have a good time with it once in place. I don't envy you on that task, but just take your time and think it through and the outcome should be fairly painless. Count on donating a couple cases of brew to helpers that may get volunteered into action.
Looking forward to reading and seeing pics about the process.

My Torus was just too easy with a fork lift.

    Congrat's Keith,

Mine has been fantastic. Exceeded my expectations. I made my first set of soft jaws this week that accommodate 3 parts rotated 2-4 times. Accuracy has been great. I referenced my WCS once one the fixed jaw of the vise. I have not referenced it in 4 days. Just turn on the machine, home the limit switches and I'm off changing tools, swapping stock.

Good luck on the basement move. I can't imagine the process. This thing is HEAVY. I'm a noob at rigging heavy stuff. I started with a break down engine hoist. Got the mill 2" off the ground and the lift leaned and looked like it was going to fold. I stopped and rented the kind you tow behind your truck. That one worked but still scared the hell out of me.

Well, I only paid for it for one day, but it stayed here 3.5 days. I was about to start charging them a storage fee.

I think it was less than $150.00. Not bad really. It was a new machine.

    That is just a Torus.
I expect your box or boxes will be bigger and much heavier.

The nice thing about that type lift is the boom extension. Damn handy.

Also the crate may do double duty. My Son has it fixed up as a shooting house for deer hunting.

Like I said, I don't envy you that task.
The nice thing about it though is that once it is in place, it IS in place.
