My tool offset page goes up to T200
How do I load a higher # tool
My side mount tool changer has 24 pockets.

What I want to do is assign A tool # for each tool T30 = 1/2" EM, 4fl, carb
That way any time a T30 is called a program there is no question what tool it should be.
When I try to put a tool # greater than 1-25 I get an error message.
Am I missing something, or trying to use this incorrectly.

Spoke to Haas today, this is possible...
Hit the CURNT COMDS button, then PAGE UP.
Select the pocket the tool will go in, enter the tool # (without the T) hit WRITE.

I'm fairly new to Haas so this might be a newb question but I see something useful here.

So in the tool offset table you can set Height 30 and Diameter 30 for your 1/2" EM. Then assign, say, pocket 12 as the designated pocket for Tool 30 in the CURNT COMDS window.

You can then call T30 in a program and the tool changer will grab the tool in pocket 12 and use H30 and D30 from the offset table. Is this correct? That sounds kinda awesome.

Yeah you can do that, as long as you override the tool number directly into the pocket table. Normally the machine just assigns the 25 tools to the 24 available pockets plus the spindle, and you never use the additional T numbers unless using a different height or diameter adjustment for one tool. Have to be careful though, it's a quick way to cause a horrible crash...
