CAM Software for doing this? 2+1

    hi folks,
one question here, i want to do this style of machining strategies in a mill, with rotary axis A (along x), and linear axis X, Z (fixed Y).
What Cam software do you use?, could you recomend me one ?

find in internet some videos rearding deskproto and some rotation axis machining (im not asociated with):

Homemade CNC milling machine use rotation-axis - YouTube
Rotation axis machining in DeskProto (Venus) - YouTube

    thanks for your interest
    regards
    rick

DeskProto is CAM software, what's the problem with using it? I don't think you'll find a more capable program for this sort of rotary machining for the price.

couldnt agree more with you Andrew, deskproto is amazing doing that.
My question was oriented to see if theres other CAM soft with that type of machinning im dont aware off.
I like the way Deskproto has implemented the gui, very user friendly! cheers to the programmers for that!
Nice blog have you, interesting things!, thanks for your answer.
    Anyone+?

Pretty cool project. Looks like you will need a CAM system that provides full 4 axis indexing and wrapping with customizable posting capabilities for your machine. What is the price range that you are budgeting for this level of CAM?

    Hi CNCdude
As Andrew pointed out, deskproto could do it, and the value is at hand for me(at least 5.0).
Postproccesing a gcode isnt a problem, sometimes i run a macro to modify them to suit, outside the cam soft.
    tks

    Hi Rick
That's great. I like the video. It really shows the common person how CNC can do amazing things. Great example. And it sounds like you know what you're doing. Thanks!
