Hi everybody,
complete CNC newbie here but already in love with it. A friend and I are trying to build a basic cnc from scratch to learn as much as possible about it. We've done our best to read and learn what's going on under the hood, but lots of questions still open, hope this forum will help to shed some lights on them.
cheers,
Spike
Hi
Obtained Chinese 6040T no instructions, schematics or wiring diagrams. Advised by friend in trade to join your forum. So here I am looking for info on converting to use USB instead of DB25 port keeping Mach 4. Hope someone can help.
Hi,
I just joined this thread, We are teaching young Nigerians how to use CNC technology in rapid prototyping. Some people that trained with us are in the process of set up their own little CNC machine shops.
Got a Chinese 6040T and now looking around the forum to get that thing going for hobby purposes
Hey everyone! New here, stumbled across this forum while doing research on my new(to me) ShopTask 1720XMTC. It’s a small manual mill/lathe combo unit at the moment, but they came from the factory back in ‘95 with mounting positions for CNC motors, so that’s what I hope to learn more about and add to my machine in the near future! Any and all information related to this setup would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for everyone’s help and input
Hello all the cnc maniacs,
I'v been reading this site for a while, I have made a hobby cnc with grbl, but recently got a new, more serious cnc router in work, so I'm planning to get more serious into cnc and become a cnc maniac as well.
Hello eveybody,
here the proud and almost newbie owner of a 6040, I want to use it to mill pcb.
I have done some tests with Eagle+PCBtoGCode+Mach3, with very satisfactory results.
Now considering to change the controller motion card, installing another with parallel port, in order to use LinuxCNC.
cheers
Hi,
my case is the opposite, if you need photos of my machine let me know. It has a YOOCNC m3-usb-j4 motion controller card and four YOC335 drivers.
cheers
Hello,
I'm a 3D Printer builder/hacker, currently based out of Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. I am prototyping on a Tormach 1100 and ramping up for small production runs on a Haas Mini Mill 2. I don't own my own machines yet, but hopefully that is in the cards for me soon.
I'm looking forward to joining the community here on CNCZone.
Thanks!
Micah
Hello out there. I operate a small shop on the central coast of CA making styrofoam cutting CNCs. I produce parts for my machines on a 1993 Haas VF-0 which I have been repairing since the day I got it. I have been designing and making CNCs and other automated systems since 2005 and hope to be of some service to others who are interested in fabrication and repair of all manner of machine systems through my knowledge of the industry and market. I am also hoping to receive some help occasionally in my repairs and maintenance of my clapped out old Haas.
I trying to build my first cnc plasma router. Just wanting to pick up some knowledge about building a good one.
Hey, welcome all! And oh yeah, I never introduced myself. I've never posted in a welcome thread before, LOL.
My name's John Kyle, and I like CNC. And I really like this guy:banana: So far I've made a few things out of wood and plastic with my OMIO router. Now I'm trying to get set up for cutting aluminum.
I've been helped with a lot of stuff on the forum lately - happy to be here!
