Hi,
If anyone's interested, here's a short post on the challenges of laser cutting intricate designs:
Laser Cutting Small Details In Mild Steel Parts | Yorkshire Profiles
Does anyone have any other ideas as to other methods such as water-jet et al.

Hello all!
Hello Everybody!
I'm a mechanical/design engineer currently working for a subsea construction/ROV service company. I have been reading the forum for a while, but haven't ever registered. I'm currently researching/planning to either buy or design/build my own hobby CNC router/mill. This forum seems like a fantastic resource, and everyone here contributes to what appears to be a community of like-minded individuals. I look forward to future reading and participation here.
Thanks,
Matthew Bryant

Interested in learning to CNC my mill and perhaps lathe.
mil gracias Jorge
Worked around cnc since my first job as a teenager. Strayed away and found my way back. I've made the jump from metal to stone and its a whole new ballgame. Here to make friends and master my machine!
Hey Everybody! I own and operate a sign shop in Edwards, CO. It is a full service sign shop featuring 2 large format Roland printers, a MultiCam 44 router and the usual vinyl and woodworking equipment for a shop of this type.
I bought the MultiCam used over 15 yrs. ago and it's still... OK, it was still running up until recently. I joined CNCZone in hopes of gaining some knowledge about my AC Inverter and to give back in any way that I can offer. The inverter started giving error codes a few weeks ago so I sent it to Radwell Int. for service. I got the inverter back last week and realized that all of the parameter settings were reset. I failed to anticipate this, so I did not record any of the previous settings. We've downloaded the manual for our TB Woods XFC20020B inverter, we've talked with a few service techs about where to focus our efforts but it's all been fairly general info. It seems that how we use our router dictates the values & settings we need to modify.
So, if anybody is familiar with sign manufacturing and running a cnc router, perhaps you can touch base with me for more details.
Thank you!
Angelo

Building a CNC-machine is first step to get the aknowledge how mechanics and electronics work together by producing great things.
I hope i would get the basics in this forum, thanks!
