G'day, I am Razz and are from Australia. I have a Industrial Insulation and metal sheathing business in Queensland. My idea is to increase productivity in the sheetmetal workshop is to build a combination Plasma/laser cutter with interchanchable sliding beds to suit. I am a mechanical person but struggle with the electronic bit of it. The idea is to build the mechanical structure components myself and purchase the drives, controller, censors, ball screws etc. I want to be able to laser cut metal up to 1.2mm and plasma cit up to around 20mm. Any ideas or suggestions please?

hi razz, co2 laser use 150w with oxygen can cut 1.5 steel. Plasmer cutter 20mm steel with a middle or bigger power supply, hypertherm 105 maybe or CutMaster both good.

Hi guys,

I'm Daniel and I found out and register to this forum because I need some guidness and help. I start building my own design CNC(router) back in 2003. Since then I added to my colection a 3D printer, 1 laser cutter, one 3axis Deckel Maho, one Alzmetall 3 axis (planed for 5 axis retrofit), an router and small pecision 4axis table.I also plan to buy a lathe soon but this is still in plan.
I love electronics and automation and I'm a pasionate of. Hope I can help here as well when time will allow me.
