Hey everyone, I'm just gathering parts for my first home built cnc. Hopefully all goes well and I'll post some pics. I'm not a professional just an enthusiast who likes engineering, building my cnc from bits and pieces and mostly things I've found so its a cheapy build. Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Hello to all, I am here to learn something I hope so.
Seems every time I start or refine a project CNC zone comes up in my comparison of "how others are doing it" versus my visions of "how I'd like to do it" net searches and topic studies. I am getting close to contributing something useful from all I've learned on the 'net, CNC Zone and elsewhere but not quite in position to do so yet. Until then I'll observe, try, read and learn.
CNC, machine language, machine design, hydraulics and electrical control.
Just joined.
Hope to learn more about CNC and building using aluminium profiles.
Just joined! Hoping to find info on simple program to cut CNC stair stringers when I build the machine. Have built and run a 4 axis CNC foam cutter for foam airplane wings for 10 years. I plan to retire from building homes in 1 year and want to use my contacts to sell stair sets to builders. I want to cut the stringers with my own CNC controlled machine. The foam cutting program. The program I use is inexpensive, fill in the blanks and works flawlessly. It is GMFC if anyone is familiar. Over the next few days I hope to search & find similar program for cutting these stringers. --------rick

Hi
Just joined. I am an automation engineer by profession. I am based in Provence (France) and hope to build a CNC router and plasma cutter. Primary uses will be machining foam bucks for motorcycle fairing moulds. I hope to make it rigid enough to allow for upgrading to milling light alloy.
My background means I am very familiar with AC drives - having set up many 2 and 3 axis robots in the medical device industry. Steppers are new to me

Hello!
I'm from Croatia, state in Europe.
I have roland modela MDX500. This is my hobi.
I want build one 4axis router with arduino due driving.
Also I work like programmer on cnc grinding machine type Gemini Schneeberger, and SAACKE.
I hope that, I will something learn there, and maybe some learn from me.
Sorry for bad English.
Hello All,
I own a restoration forum but I do a bit of fabrication on the side and am looking to get a CNC plasma table.
Hi.
I'm from St.Petersburg, Russia, deal with elastomers and metal.
It's interesting to cnc some of my old machines.
Good luck and Merry Christmas

Hi, just joined. I´m interested in doing sculptures in foam. Anyone can point me to some good threads about it??
hello, i am tim, nice to meet you.I'm new here! right now I am orientating myself into rebreather, I hope I can learn more and help others solve the problem. I am very interested in rtf rc airplanes, thanks, wish happy.
Hello all, long time lurker here. 10+ years machining experience, Vertical 4 axis, Horizontal 5 axis mills. Currently working on CNC lathes. I decided to join as I have some specific questions about my machine and I cannot find any info online.
New to cnc, not new to all things diy, looking to build my first cnc router. Decisions, decisions, wallowing through the mire of options...
Hi Folks, I'm fairly new to CNC, have converted a sherline mill for clock gear cutting and am starting on a cnc router. I'm a full time clock repair and restoration guy in Virginia and in CAMS and the CNC interest group there. Everytime I went to research something, I found links to threads here. Seems like a fairly good idea to sign up, just took me a while to catch on :-) Best to all, Stan
