Post Need Help on Unshielded power Cables for servo motor and HSD Spindle

    Hello there, everyone.

my machine is a cnc router.

Because the upper skin is damaged and has come off, I'm looking for unshielded power cables to replace the existing shielded wires. This happens to the cables that are in the cable chain and move with the y and x axis.

This CNC router is equipped with two heads. So there are a total of eight power cables.
Two cables are connected to the y axis motors. Two cables link the x axis motors. There are two for the z axis motors and two for the VFD-powered spindle.

The top skin of all electrical cables has cracked and peeled away. The signal connections cables from*servo drives to motors are flawless.

Shielded cables are more expensive since they are less common in the local market. So I'm thinking about replacing all eight cables with unshielded cables and adding flexible hose to each cable based on its diameter.
My question is, would this, like any other problem, cause a problem for the signal cable?

Unshielded cables for VFD spindle are a BAD idea. Will cause EMI problem.

Unshielded cables for stepper motor are fairly common. May or may not cause EMI problem.

Edit: sorry, you mention servo. I am less familiar with servo.

It would best to replace shielded cable with shielded cable.
If shielding did not matter, manufacturer would not have used shielded cable.

If your machine has shielded cables it is for EMI protection. If you use unshielded cable you will be chasing your tail with all kinds of unexplained issues. Do yourself a huge favor stick with shielded cables

Thanks for reply u means the power cable from spindle to vfd need to be sheilded must be?
If not it will cause EMI problem.

    Thank you for your response.
Actually, the shielded cable is not that mesh-type shielded cable; it is made of thin aluminum foil and has four core wires.
    I've attached an image.
Another cable I observed in local shop*is a wire mesh-type protected cable, but the shield on my machine is merely thin aluminum foil.Click image for larger version.
