    Converting for wood turning use

Has anyone converted their mini lathe to do some wood turning? are there any conversion kits available

You can turn wood without any modification at all. You might be better served with higher spindle speeds and different tooling, but it will work fine. You could also make up a tool rest that mounted to the cross slide if you were going to do it that way.

Wondered if there was any commercial add ons like the tool rest and spindle chuck fitting, I suppose a 3/4 thread in the chuck allos you to fit the lathe faceplates etc and just a matter then of making a tool rest
