    Best Way to Wire Steppers

I am running KL-4030 drivers with 8 wire 425oz/in steppers (Also from keling) and i am curious, what is the best way to wire the steppers to get the most torque?

    Bipolar (Series)
    Bipolar (Parallel)
    Unipolar

Here is the wiring guide from Keling

    Thanks

The KL-4030 is designed to drive bipolar motors, so you would not want to use the unipolar hookup.

That leaves you with the choice between the bipolar parallel or series hookup.

Your stepper motor has a somewhat high inductance in the parallel configuration, but a very high inductance in the series configuration.

From the standpoint of achieving best torque at higher speeds, within the limitations of your driver, you would probably be better off going with the parallel hookup.
