    Fanuc 21i-M macros disabled?

    Hi Guys

I recently got some machines with a GE Fanuc 21i-M control...
I am familiar with macros and have no problems on any of the other machines I have...
However this machine, I cannot do anything macro related.
I have tried #3006=1(xxx), #2=5., #550=#2011 and a whole bunch of other simple macro commands. Each time, the machine goes to alarm 009(Illegal address input).
I have come to the assumption that the macro function was disabled in parameter?
    Is that even possible?
Anyone know what parameter will re-enable it?
I have spent hours going through the operators and parameter manual with no success, even though it shows the function clearly in the operators manual...

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Thanks
    Claudio

User Macro B is an option. You should contact GE/Fanuc for pricing.

if you do not see the MACRO soft-key under the OFFSET/SETING screen macro B option is not active.

this MACRO screen/option has nothing to do with the pmc.
