    Model Ship Parts

    Hi,

I've created some model ship parts in Autodesk Inventor, that are between 4 and 6mm thick and I would like them CNC machining on both sides.

I live in the UK and would like somebody to give me advice on if this is possible? I can cut the model up into individual components.

    Here are some screenshots

    Attachment 222566

    Attachment 222568

    Attachment 222570

It probably would be easier if I broke them down into individual parts.. but is it achievable and is somebody willing to cut them out for me?

I have the swiss pear ready to post(ship) and obviously I would pay

    Thanks

    Tim

What sort of material do you want them made of? Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but they look awful fragile to me and more appropriate for 3D printing or molding/casting than for machining.

cutting out of swiss pear wood. I've seen them done by hand but I can't craft them that good so thought CNC would be easier solution

These are totally possible to machine on a flatbed router. The main problem you will have is that they are not flat on the front or back so there will have to be a second operation either by turning the part over and relocating them on a jig or by doing the second op by hand.
If you break them up in to sections they might actually end up a stronger structure, with some clever jointing, this way you can have the grain following through.
