Hi, I was in a CNC Class today and was trying to describe the offset differences you get when loading one of these "extended" turrets full of different tools. A while ago somebody posted a picture of an ST-30 that had the 24 position VDI turret loaded with tools....it had like 20 or thereabouts.
I can't find the picture now...did somebody happen to save that pic? Or do any of you guys have any similar pictures on your own machines?

Beast lathe! thanks for the pic, that's what I was hoping to see.
On a related topic, how often do you swap tools? A while ago I setup a job at a shop where we doubled up on the turning tools by using the Y axis as a toolchange and virtually never had to swap anything out across like 20 different programs. But the finished products were relatively small so clearances weren't an issue...
