    M115 x 10 mm thread 1200 mm long

    Is this type of thread achievable on a doosan puma 300 lb and can you get 10mm pitch inserts and holders ,any advice on this would be much appreciated

    That is stretching it. You are close to the max travel of the machine, but it might work. At least that's what I can gather from the specs I just found. I'm currently running a Puma 280LM, which has a smaller work envelope, and the Z axis travel listed is without the chuck jaws as far as I can remember. The axis is also measured from the middle of the mounting face on the turret, so that takes away a bit as well.

    I would suggest to just home the machine and use a tape measure to verify weather it could work or not.

    You could use a TCMT insert if it's a standard 60 degree thread. The bottom radius would be .4mm I believe, and for that size thread it would most likely be acceptable.

    Thank you I tried it today and I was getting massive vibes because I haven't got a steady think I might have to sub them out
